Malpelo Island

Malpelo island is located In the area of pasific ocean,together with the gorgona island are the only island who has colombia in the pasific.
It is the peak of a large submarine volcanic ridge that stretches for 150 miles, from northeast to southwest. The Malpelo ridge rises from depths of 13,123 feet (4000 meters) to reveal itself as the tiny, solitary rock of Malpelo. The rocky outpost, known to many as “la Roca” or the Rock, has three distinct peaks. The highest of which, “El Cerro de La Mona”, stands at 1233 feet above sea level (376 meters).
The reason for this post is that in colombia malpelo is a little Forgotten and no have the importance that should be have, because malpelo is a paradise, was one of the 10 most desired places in the word to go to diving.
Also other thing that characterized to malpelo are your population becaus not have humans the population of malpelo consist in about 60 types of poultry and 395 types of fish, and the most popular is the Shark that is the animal who all want to see bat also malpelo isde home of the to an important coral formation.
And other wonderful thing about malpelo is In 1995 the Government of Colombia declared to malpelo as a protected area under the category of Fauna and Flora Sanctuary, and in 2002 was recognized as a "Particularly Sensitive Sea Area" at the International Maritime Organization.
For other side the weather is tropical with high humidity and abundant rainfall. Temperatures average around 28 centigrade all year long.
For that reason in my opinion malpelo is a paradise full of live that we must not forget, becaus is amazing part of our country and is a place that all colombian people must know.
